Leila Olivesi. Utopia

The pianist and composer Leila Olivesi successfuly balanced both her musical and philosophical studies, since her first concerts with “Les p’tits loups du jazz” always wishing to develop her art further. In her fourth solo album “Utopia”, Leila Olivesi used Cyrano de Bergerac’s novels in which he describes interplanetary journeys, as a source of inspiration. Those novels, major work of the 17th century, are prefiguring science fiction, setting between utopia and social criticism, but also between adventure and philosophy. Those are modern and humoristic narrations in which music is seen as a universal language. Directing an adventurous quartet where the guitarist Manu Codija shines, Leila Olivesi will be performing warm and colorful compositions with utopia and travel for themes, and which welcome freedom of thought and everyone who are dreaming of a better world.
