Melissa Aldana. Second Cycle

Melissa Aldana is a welcome and inspiring addition to the current league of contemporary young music thinkers. With a powerful and firmly identifiable voice on the tenor saxophone, she is a trailblazing force and is one to watch.

As impressive as Melissa Aldana’s first CD was, with “Second Cycle” she has made a mature and melodic jump ahead. If the first rule of entertainment is “always leave them wanting more,” then she has accomplished that delightfully.
